WASHINGTON – In the United States on Saturday, tens of thousands of people across the country the street merged to protest against the immigration policy of the government-Trump. The largest demonstration was in Washington, which, according to organizers, over 30,000 people attended. But also in cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles, saw thousands of people on the protest, including such celebrities as John Legend and Cher.

The demonstrations were organized under the heading of Families Belong Together. The participants demanded that families of illegal migrants is no longer to be confined and that children who are separated are stuck with their parents to be reunited. Also, they demanded that president Donald Trump stops his policy to migrants who are held automatically to be prosecuted for illegal border crossing.
Many protesters carried signs with texts such as “Shame!”, “Make America Human Again” and “Immigrants Are Welcome Here.”
