Mies Bouwman passed away on February 26, and already has her farm in the Utrecht Elst sold. The house was only six weeks to purchase.
The heirs of Mies Bouwman asked 925.000 euro for the nice farmhouse with detached barn and a spacious garden with large lawn, which at the rear extends all the way to the floodplains of the Lower rhine. From the terrace behind her house, she had a panoramic view over.
The centuries-old monumental farmhouse of Mies is characterized by a beautiful long hallway through the middle of the house with original tiles, and on the front side two spacious offices with one of them still original bedsteads that Mies had used as a wardrobe. The kitchen is simple but attractive, and in the scullery there is an old well, a private source.
From the living room with a fireplace, there are patio doors to the terrace and Mies’ own bedroom has an en suite bathroom. On the first floor there is a loft with view to the downstairs living room and there are three bedrooms of which one with a simple bathroom. Above that is the attic.
