Rutte fan of the Red Devils

BRUSSELS – Prime minister Mark Rutte and the prime minister of Luxemburg, Xavier Bettel have Thursday behind their Belgian colleague and medeliberaal Charles Michel joined. The Benelux prime ministers were hung, each with a supporterssjaal and went there together on the photo. That put Michel on Twitter with the text “the Netherlands and Luxembourg cheering soon for our Devils!”

Michel gave up his British colleague Theresa May a shirt of his national football team, nicknamed the Red Devils. He did that in Brussels, just before the beginning of an important EU summit. The shirt has to the great hilarity of the other EU leaders, and May themselves number 10, the number for May’s official residence in Downingstreet, London.

Because both teams already for the next round have been placed, there seemed to be little tension between the ’competitive’ EU leaders.

England and Belgium play Thursday night against each other. The match starts at eight o’clock, shortly after the 28 leaders started their dinner debate organised on migration.
