TORERE – Three people are shot dead in the Indonesian province of Papua. Suspected separatists shot in the district, Torere on two boats with the voters, and officials with ballots of the local election, reported police.
Among the dead are two police officers. Three policemen are still missing. A few days ago, shot an alleged separatist already three people dead at the small airport in the district Nduga in Papua. In that district were the elections postponed because of the violence.
Indonesia kept in advance account with violence during the local elections in Papua.
The current Indonesian provinces of Papua and West Papua were previously Dutch New Guinea. The netherlands was the area in 1962 under international pressure.
