The six-part drama series Anne Plus for the first time during the upcoming edition of the Dutch Film Festival. The series, about the lesbian twenties, Anne, who looks back on her love life in her student days, on the 30th of september in the Stadsschouwburg Utrecht in premiere. That made the organization Wednesday known.
In Anne Plus think the main character back to her loves of the past four years as a student in Amsterdam. In every episode of eleven minutes a relationship is central. During the film festival are the six parts together to see. The main role is played by Hanna van Vliet, who previously was in musicals as Fiddler on the Roof and The Twins and the film Oh Baby.
The creators, screnarist Maud Wiemeijer and director Valerie Bisscheroux, developed the idea for the series because of the lack of representation of lesbian girls in the media. “There is a lack of lesbian role models in the media and we think that’s a great loss. It is also important that the series of Annes sexuality is not problematiseert. Homosexuality is Anne Plus the background of a universal coming-of-age-story.”
