STRASBOURG – Fourteen members of the parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) are turned away because of corruption. The procedurecommissie of the meeting made their names Wednesday known.
The expelling of the fourteen politicians following a major investigation into bribery of politicians, in particular, by Azerbaijan. Among the members who are expelled is also the German christendemocraat Eduard Lintner.
At the Council of Europe 47 member states connected. They have national politicians as representatives in the meeting.
