Sint-Truiden has Monday the contract of Jonathan Legear, that was still running until mid-2019, with one additional season extended. The 31-year-old Legear now has a contract until June 2020 at Stayen. The winger joined the Truienaars last summer, and was with six goals and eight assists (in 28 matches) an important pawn at STVV.
Athletic Director Tom Van den Abbeele welcomed. “We put our ambitions in force when the contract of the experienced player to break open. We are glad that we Jonathan a season longer to connect.”
Legear defended to be broken through at Anderlecht (2004-2011) the colors of Terek Grozny (2011-2013), KV Mechelen (2014), Blackpool (2014-2015) and Standard (2015-2018). The winger played in 2010, two times for the Red Devils.
STVV ended the regular part of the Jupiler Pro League on the tenth place. In group B, Play-Off 2 were the Canaries second, after Lokeren.
