TEHRAN – Shopkeepers and merchants from the Grand Bazaar of Tehran have Monday massively argued, and a clear trade policy of the government demanded. The bazaar of Tehran is a huge area that is seen as the heart of the Iranian middle class.
The news agency ISNA reported that no activity was more in the bazaar and the traders on the squares demonstrated. They are crying that they lose money if they stay open. The riot police patrolled in the bazaar.
Iran is suffering under particularly American, economic sanctions, corruption and bad economic policies. The Iranian currency, the rial plummets ever. Attempts of the government of president Hassan Rohani to the fall of the rial to stop, have so far yielded nothing.
Especially the decision at the beginning of may of the American president Trump to withdraw from the international agreement with Iran and tougher sanctions, was a blow to the Iranian currency and economy. The agreement regulates that the major powers for their sanctions against Iran to withdraw while Iran it’s nuclear program controllable limits.
Shops are closed in the Grand Bazaar.
