In Saudi Arabia, is the prohibition for women to drive cars, lifted. This is Sunday at midnight local time (Saturday at 23 pm (Belgian time), royal decree of strength gone. The measure was in september 2017, all by King Salman announced.
Saudi Arabia was the only country in the world that women are prohibited to get behind the wheel. The ultraconservatieve muslim country is now carrying out a series of reforms by which more women participate in the economic and social life. Women can now also start up a business and football matches or concerts to attend.
Nevertheless, women are still being oppressed by a system of male guardianship. They need approval from a man within their family to travel, to study, or certain professions to practice.
