Scheveningen – Carolijn Brouwer has as the first Dutch woman to the sailing race around the world won. The 44-year-old pro from Scheveningen went with her Chinese team Dongfeng in the Hague as The first to cross the finish line of the eleventh and final stage.
This insured the boat of the French skipper Charles Caudrelier of the victory in the thirteenth edition of the Volvo Ocean Race.
It is Team Brunel are unable to to own public the Volvo Ocean Race to win. The Dutch boat, skippered by Bouwe Bekking came speed deficit and ended up in the final stage as fourth.
Team Dongfeng follow in the final stage, an entirely different course than Team AkzoNobel, Mapfre and Brunel.
