Captain Ron Vlaar will play next season at AZ. The central defender has had his contract at Alkmaar Sunday with a one-year period.

“We are delighted that Ron is still a year more of us have been able to slur,” says director of football cases Max Huiberts on the website of AZ. “Ron is with his extensive experience, still an added value for this selection. We are glad we got another year of making.”

Vlaar (33) gave the beginning of may all to expect in AZ. “I have a feeling that we are going to come. I have it to my liking and am in my place”, he said.

After his contract with the English Aston Villa in the summer of 2015 ended, reported Vlaar a few months later, in Alkmaar to the recovery of a knee injury to work. In december of that year, he finally returned back to AZ.

The central defender then grew next to a pillar in the defence to captain and will remain so for another year at the club in the winter break of the 2005/2006 season, exchanged for Feyenoord.

Injuries

In the past season came to Vlaar by injuries to just fifteen official matches. The defender wants after his career like in the service of AZ, but the club announce anything yet about any appointments on that.
