The Czech Petra Kvitova (WTA 8) and the Slovakian Magdalena Rybarikova (WTA 19) Saturday for the final of the WTA tournament in Birmingham (grass/936.128 dollar).
Kvitova, the fourth seed, and the titelverdedigster in Birmingham, counted after one hour and fifteen minutes of tennis in two sets (6-3 and 6-2) with the Romanian Mihaela Buzarnescu (WTA 30). Rybarikova had just two hours to another Czech, Barbora Strycova (WTA 24), in two sets (7-6 (7/1), 6-4), from the final battle.
It is the seventh meeting between the 28-year-old Kvitova, and the 29-year-old Rybarikova. The Czech won five of the previous six mutual duels.
For Kvitova stands in her 32nd final of its 25th title on the game. Earlier this year she won all the tournaments in St. Petersburg, Qatar, Prague and Madrid. For Rybarikova may be her fifth WTA title in eight finals. Also the Slovak wrote the tournament in Birmingham, al once on its name. It was in 2009, her first title. In 2018, it is her first final.
