Turkish opposition wants more than 600,000 observers

ISTANBUL – The Turkish opposition wants that more than 600,000 observers to be deployed during the national elections this coming Sunday. The largest opposition party, the CHP, intends that each of the more than 180,000 polling stations two observers. In addition to that some 360,000 observers, various political parties are still more observers of their party.

An ngo wants to and with the elections 40.000 volunteers training to election observers. They would be in the name of an opposition party, the fairness of the elections to assess.

This year, for the first time an organization in Turkey that in to monitor the elections fairly. The group was formed by opposition parties, ngos, trade unions and media companies.
