Castroviejo (Spain) and Bodnar (Poland) national time-trial champion

Jonathan Castroviejo (Sky) and Maciej Bodnar (BORA – hansgrohe) Friday, respectively, the Spanish and the Polish championship time trial win. In Portugal knew Domingos Gonçalves his title to retain.

The 31-year-old Castroviejo, since this season at Sky, explained the 37.5 km around Vall d’alba in 47:46, good for an average speed of 47,104 km/h. The four-time Spanish time-trial champion showed the brothers Gorka (+0:37), and Ion Izaggire (+0:38), both Bahrain Merida behind them. Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) finished fourth, at 1:04 of the winner.

Maciej Bodnar was for the fifth time, the Polish time-trial champion. He devoured the 33 miles in 38:25 with an average speed of 51,540 km/h. Marcin Bialoblocki and outgoing kapioen Michal Kwiatkowski (Sky) completed the podium.

In Portugal knew Domingos Gonçalves (Radio popular Boavista) his title to retain. He explained the route from 33.7 kilometers, twelve seconds faster than his twin brother José Gonçalves (Katusha).
