Amazon Studios announced yesterday that it was working with Robert Kirkman, creator of the post-apocalyptic fiction and “The Walking Dead” to his comics “Invincible” and you can do an animated series. The television series will be eight episodes of an hour. Kirkman is one of the most popular authors of the last few years, writes “Invincible” at his side, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley.
These strips rotate to Mark Grayson, a teenager whose father is the most powerful superhero in the world. “Invincible” tells the story of how Mark his own powers begin to develop at the age of 17.
“I could not be prouder of the series, Cory Walker, Ryan Ottley and I have already more than 15 years together. To realize that our characters through other media will live, is almost too good to be true,” said Kirkman. “I’m happy that our fans can experience”, said the writer, who as an audiovisual producer and screenwriter participated in the series “The Walking Dead”, “Fear the Walking Dead” and “Outcast”.
Sharon Yguado, head of Amazon Studios programming, said on her part that Kirkman’s “incredible talent to the current time to predict”. “In a world full of superheroes, we trust that Robert meets the expectations and at the same time, an exciting story will bring. We are very fond of his ambitious plan for the series and we think the project is nothing like what we on television have already seen.”
