Singer Janet Jackson says in the magazine Essence about her depressed years. “I have struggled with depression, it was intense,” writes the 52-year-old popicoon.
The summer edition of the magazine is in the sign of luck. Jackson says thirties problems of low self-confidence and self-esteem. Those feelings were, according to her, possibly by her childhood, the impossibly high standards to which they could not meet, and sexism and racism. Also, as a forty-something she says often self-sabotaging thoughts, to have had her to despair floated.
Ultimately, says Jackson her happiness and peace found in God, the people around her and especially her two year old son. Her little son in her arms holding calls them her ’ultimate happiness’.
