The dilapidated wooden house where singer and burgerrechtenactiviste Nina Simone in Tyron, North Carolina falls from now on under the protection of the National Trust for Historic Preservation in America. The house is renovated and receives a new destination.
The four African-American artists in the house last year bought, will closely cooperate with the organization to Simone’s contributions to the society to honor and new generations to inspire.
The house has three rooms and is 60 m2 large. Nina Simone’s real name was Eunice Waymon. The famous singer died in 2003 at age 70.
