Lenny Kravitz had a role to tackle in the award-winning hit series Big Little Lies. According to the 54-year-old singer, he gained the role, ultimately, not because of his skin color.
Kravitz let not know to which role it is, but all probability goes to Perry Wright, who with his wife Celeste, played by Nicole Kidman, both physically as well as psychologically abused. The producers would not have felt at the idea that someone with dark skin is the villain in the series would play.
“If I get the role had been given, I was the only dark man in the series has been,” explains Lenny from of BBC. “The director wanted me to be happy, but he found it better to have a other time to work together.”
