The Swiss Roger Federer has on Monday again took over the lead on the new ATP ranking. Federer won on Sunday, his 98th ATP title in Stuttgart and takes over at the top of the ranking from the Spaniard Rafael Nadal. Later in the top 10 retained David Goffin, Sunday, the final of the exhibitietoernooi in Deauville Trouville won, his ninth place. Next week, Goffin, in preparation for Wimbledon, from the iconic grastoernooi of Queen’s.

Thanks to his final in Stuttgart, Federer for the first time since may 20, again at the top of the ATP rankings. Last month he was only a week the number 1 of the world.

Still in the top ten were the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov and the Croat Marin Cilic of place. Dimitrov is now number five, Cilic number six. Also the Brit Kyle Edmund made on the seventeenth place, a place of profit at the expense of Frenchman Lucas Pouille.

In the ranking of the highest ranked Belgians changed little. David Goffin (ATP 9) and Ruben Bemelmans (ATP 103) retained their place. Steve Darcis (ATP 245, -4), Arthur De Greef (ATP 295, -11) and Julien Cagnina (ATP 299, -5) made a slight loss. Christoph Heyman (ATP 290) won two places

Elise Mertens loses two places on the new WTA ranking

Elise Mertens has Monday a bad thing in the new WTA rankings. The Limburg fell two places, from fifteen to seventeen. The top remains the Romanian Simona Halep sovereign to the pipe.

Mertens went there the last week in the second round on the grastoernooi in Rosmalen. Kirsten Flipkens (WTA 48) pulled out again surprising to the finals in the Netherlands and was therefore a leap of twelve places on the ranking. Just before her made Alison Van Uytvanck (WTA 44) in three places profit. Away lost to Yanina Wickmayer (WTA 101, -3) and Maryna Zanevska (WTA 158, -5) light, Ysaline Bonaventure (WTA 118) rose six places.

In the top ten of the WTA ranking changed nothing at all. The Romanian Simona Halep is followed at a distance by the Danish Caroline Wozniacki and the Spanish Garbine Muguruza.
