The Dutch music festival Pinkpop will remain for at least another two decades in Landgraaf. The municipality of Landgraaf and organizer Festivals Limburg B. V during the opening day of Pinkpop, 2018, Friday, June 15, the verlengingscontract signed.
Pinkpop manager Jan Smeets is delighted: “Our current contract with the city runs through 2020, but after that time we want the festival like in Landgraaf. The current contract is re-examined and that has ultimately led to this beautiful result. Pinkpop belongs to the Landgrave and Landgrave hear at the Pinkpop festival.”
Also, mayor Raymond Vlecken and ships Freed Janssen are on behalf of the college pride: “We feel honored that this amazing festival has for a long time to Landgraaf want to connect. Pinkpop is of great value for our community, both as regards reputation as an economic spin-off. This contract extension guarantees the preservation of these positive effects. The college looks forward to continuing the excellent cooperation with the organisation of this event.”
Headliners of this edition of the festival include Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars.
