Hap and Leonard, starring James Purefoy and Michael K. Williams, playing in east Texas, and is a dark-comic Southern noir about the adventures of two unlikely best friends: Hap Collins and Leonard Pine.
Hap is a white former’d become a conscientious objector and Leonard is a black, openly gay member of the Vietnam veteran. When in the by the Ku Klux Klan infested town of Grovetown a black woman is missing, start Hap and Leonard on a quest. As the mystery unfolds come Hap and Leonard against some darn tough characters, including a potentially corrupt sheriff and the leader of the Caucasian Knights. Hap and Leonard will do anything for the woman to detect before the Klan finds. They find out that the good guys don’t always win and that Mother Earth is invincible.
