The American actress Julia Roberts is getting into the Amazonproductie ‘Little Bee’, a film adaptation of the eponymous bestseller by Chris Cleave. They producet the film and gets a starring role. That report entertainmentmagazine Deadline today.
The 50-year-old Roberts, crowned with an Oscar for her role in ‘Erin Brockovich’ (2000), thus has a great share in the film version of ‘Little Bee’, based on a fictieverhaal of the British author and journalist Chris Cleave, about a young Nigerian asylum-seeker, called Little Bee, and the British magazineredactrice Sarah O’ Rourke, played by Roberts. The two meet during a olieconflict in the niger Delta in Nigeria, and see each other a few years later in mysterious circumstances back in England.
The film will be produced by the production company of Roberts and her sister, Lisa Gillan, and is being developed for Amazon Studios. The ‘Pretty Woman’actress last year, was still to be seen in the feelgoodfilm ‘Wonder’ and will appear soon in the tv-series ‘Homecoming’, also for Amazon.
