“Note on Smolov. With 28 years he is an experienced player that his promise must now meet. At least if he plays, because no one is yet sure of his starting.”

Smolov played a season on a rental basis in Rotterdam and came only to score in training duels with amateurs and Benfica. After a year he returned to Russia to Dinamo Moscow.

Alexander Golovin from CSKA Moscow is already assured of a move. “A primary goal midfielder, only 22 years old and already has three seasons in the national football team. It is in the interest of clubs from the European top leagues.”

Denis Good is the only other player who travel abroad to play in Villarreal. “A new gargoyle than a special player. He does exactly what he is told, but not someone who makes the difference,” said Korneev.
