The British Queen Elizabeth at the occasion of her birthday, more than a thousand deserving Brits put in the flowers. The Queen shared among more awards to Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley and Tom Hardy, due to their merits in the world of film.
Politicians, academics, journalists, athletes, authors, actors and other citizens who have in recent years done an excellent job for the British community, had the past weekend to hear that they are a distinction of the British queen. Emma Thompson, now 59 years old, got the highest award, namely the title of “Dame” for her qualities as an actress.
The 33-year-old Keira Knightley received the prestigious award of ‘Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire” (OBE) for her merits as an actress and for good causes. Tom Hardy (40) finally, received a similar award as the “Commander of the Order of the British Empire’ (CBE) for his performance as an actor.
In addition to Thompson, Knightley and Hardy received a couple of other well-known British award, including Kazuo Ishiguro (winner of the Nobel prize for Literature), Kenny Dalglish (former football legend at Liverpool) and Menna Fitzpatrick (paralympic athlete).
