BOGOTA – The United States has with the government of Colombia asked for extradition of one of the former leaders of guerillabeweging FARC. The U.s. embassy has an official uitleveringsverzoek submitted for Seusis Hernandez, who is also Jesus Santrich is called.

According to the USA would be the rebel leader who also participated in the peace negotiations with the government, are involved in drug smuggling to the United States. Santrich was in april arrested by the Colombian police and is since fixed. The Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos would have intimated that he consents to the extradition.
FARC-politician Ivan Marquez warned previously that extradition is a violation of the agreement with the guerrillero. ,,By the capture of our comrade Santrich is the peace process itself at the most critical point and threatens to develop into a true failure.”
