Harpist Lavinia Meijer and cabaret artist Freek de Jonge initiate a special evening in Paradiso, amsterdam on 20 June on the occasion of World refugee day. During the benefit concert for War Child perform Giovanca, Paul de Munnik, Carel Kraayenhof, Connie Palmen, Michiel Borstlap, Vera Mann and Hadewych Minis, and made a Meijer Thursday known.
The proceeds from the evening benefit the projects of War Child in the countries in which it works. All the artists take part in this evening. Tickets for the benefit concert is underway.
“We can together, really do something for people – and especially children – to help”, the world famous harpist. “Together with all the artists and the audience I want to on this particular evening, War Child support. So more oorlogskinderen their traumatic experiences can process and positive look to the future.”
Meijer travelled last summer to Lesbos, and made music with refugee children. This inspired her also to the benefit of to organize.
