Terence Kongolo makes for a record the switch from AS Monaco to Huddersfield Town.
Kongolo signs a contract for four years with The Terriers. The Premier League club will pay 20 million euros for Kongolo. Huddersfield never paid more money for a player. At Monaco had the former Feyenoorder a contract until the summer of 2022. The four-time Oranjeinternational was the past half year by Huddersfield already rented from Monaco and is now bought by the English club.
Kongolo is trained by Feyenoord and has played from 2012 to 2017 in the main body of the Rotterdam club. Then he made the transition to the Ligue 1. At Monaco came Kongolo is never out of the paint.
Trainer David Wagner is delighted with the capture of Kongolo. “I’m very happy that we have Terrence back. His capture is a big statement.
