The book of poetry ‘Multi absence’ by Ester Naomi Perquin is winner of the Herman the Coninckprijs 2018. That Friday evening, announced during the poëziesoirée in the Antwerp arenberg theatre.
The prize of eur 7,500 goes to the current Dutch Poet laureate, who, according to the jury a bundle to deliver ‘intelligent analytics and accessibility effortlessly, go together’. The jury added that there are few poets who succeed in their various readers to touch and think.
Ester Naomi Perquin (1980) garnered in 2007 immediately success with her plot ‘Napkins at half mast’. She got there, the Flemish debuutprijs The Liegend Konijn for and a nomination for the C. Buddingh’prize. In 2009 she published her second anthology, ” on Behalf of the other, before that got Perquin J. C. Bloemprijs and the Lucy B. and C. W. van der Hoogtprijs.
