Fraud and corporate misdeeds: godfather of Croatian football flies behind bars, also Real player risking punishment

The most powerful man in Croatian football, Zdravko Mamic, on Wednesday by a court in Osijek sentenced to 6.5 years in prison. By tampering with transfers, including Luka Modric, he has for nearly 20 million dollar deal with fraud.

The 58-year-old Mamic was long at the helm of Dinamo Zagreb and is regarded as the most influential and powerful figure in the Croatian football.
