Dozens of migrants drown in Yemen

SANAA – Sure 46 Ethiopians have drowned when a boat with migrants as they turned for the coast of Yemen. Sixteen people are still missing and are presumed dead, reports the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

IOM staff have pity on the traumatised survivors, provided medical and psychological assistance were offered.

The approximately one hundred people on board were from Somalia en route to Yemen and the Arabian Gulf in the hope of finding work, said survivors against the IOM. Their boat capsized just before the final destination. There would be panic broken out due to the high waves near the coast.

IOM staff have pity on the traumatised survivors, provided medical and psychological assistance were offered. The organization reports that all 83 men and 17 women aboard from would have been from Ethiopia.
