Corrie van Gorp gets a special tribute in the Oude Luxor Theater in Rotterdam. The unveiling is next week on Wednesday by mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb, reports the theater Tuesday. The tribute gets a permanent place in the foyer of the Oude Luxor.
The initiative for a tribute came from comedian Richard Groenendijk on the idea came after a conversation with Van Gorp during the jubileumvoorstelling of 100 years of Luxor by Paul de Leeuw. The Lion received therein Gorp as one of his special guests.
The now 75-year-old Van Gorp was the beginning of the seventies nationally known when they, together with Willem Nijholt and acted in various theatre shows of Wim Sonneveld. Then she was seen in the revues of André van Duin. One of the most famous characters that together they with Of the Dune she was mrs. Buck.
