Marcel Emperor continues his career in the United Arab Emirates. The former trainer of Ajax has a two year contract signed with Al-Jazira from Abu Dhabi, confirms his agent Humphrey Nijman Saturday.
The 49-year-old Emperor will follow by July 1, countryman Henk ten Cate, his expiring contract would not renew and retire. “There was interest of several clubs from the Netherlands and abroad. The offer of Al-Jazira spoke to him the most,” says Nijman.
The emperor began the previous season as head coach of Ajax, where he Peter Bosz succeeded. Under the guidance of the new coach, the club soon switched off in the preliminaries of the Champions League and the Europa League.
