CAIRO – Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is Saturday for a second term, was sworn in the Egyptian parliament. Al-Sisi won in march of the presidential election in his country, with 97 percent of the votes.

The 63-year-old former head of the intelligence service and the former minister of Defence of gold as the biggest winner of the election, because all the serious challengers had dropped out. Rivals of the president were detained or intimidated. The only remaining challenger, Moussa Mustafa Moussa, himself, was a supporter of Sisi. He got about 3 percent of the votes.
Then-army chief Sisi had in 2013 the democratically elected president Mohamed Mursi aside. That happened after mass protests against his government.
