Lions and tigers escaped from a German zoo near Belgian border

There are Friday different predators broke out of a zoo in the zoo of the German city Lünebach. The Eifel Zoo is situated as the crow flies, about ten kilometres from the border with Belgium.

There is currently still searched for two lions, two tigers and a jaguar, so says a spokesperson of the district Bitburg-Prüm. There would be one bear shot.

The animals were allegedly escaping after the Eifel Zoo by a thunderstorm under the water was gone, so the fence would have been damaged.

The German police admonishes the population in the area to their house not to leave.
