Zinedine Zidane leaves immediately as coach of Real Madrid. That made the Frenchman Thursday announced during a specially convened press conference.
The departure of the success coach comes as a surprise. Saturday led Zidane and his team in the Champions League final by Liverpool (3-1).
The 45-year-old Zidane began in January 2016 with the Spanish club in his first job as a head coach and winning three times in a row the Champions League. That performance was since the seventies, when Bayern Munich three years in a row the european Cup, I conquered, not shown.

In January extended Zidane his contract in Madrid until mid-2020. He said Thursday that his decision to leave in the interest of the club.
“It is a strange time to leave, but the team has change is needed to keep on winning. I think the selection has a need for a new method of work and that’s why I decided to leave.”
