Court ordered compensation for CIA prisoners

STAATSBURG – Romania and Lithuania should be two terrorist suspects who are tortured in a secret CIA prison on their territory a compensation pay out. The European Court for Human Rights has determined.

The two men, Abu Zubaydah and Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri sat in a prison in Poland. The court in Strasbourg and some in 2015 that that country, respectively, 130,000 euros to 100,000 euros had to pay.

Romania and Lithuania are managed according to the court, what the purpose of the Us operations with the al-Qaida suspects in the so-called rendition program. They have thus infringed on a whole series of rights in the human rights convention. Romania should Al-Nashiri, a ton of pay damages, and Lithuania 130,000 euros to Abu Zubaydah.
