70 migrants discovered on a yacht in Crete

ATHENS – The Greek coast guard off the coast of the island of Crete, a yacht discovered with seventy migrants on board. The 25-foot-long vessel was probably en route from the Turkish or Egyptian coast to Italy.

One of the passengers sent a distress signal, the coast guard does not mention any reason for the signal. Three patrol boats kept the yacht, and brought the group of migrants to a port. According to the coast guard goes well with the group.

By the conclusion of the balkan route many migrants are sure to get across the Mediterranean to Italy to achieve. The route is very dangerous, and many people drown during the crossing.
