Sting and his wife Trudie Styler have Sunday an honorary degree received from Brown University. The training institute is one of eight universities to receive the prestigious Ivy League forms.
Sting and Trudie Styler were given their titles because of their commitment to the Rainforest Fund, an organization that works to conserve rainforests and stands up for the original inhabitants of those areas.
The singer and his wife were present at the graduation ceremony of the school, where Sting one of the speakers was. After the speeches of a number of recent graduates took the Brit to the word.
According to the local newspaper, The Providence Journal, he said, that the speeches him hopeful had voted. “Today I am optimistic, because I was part of this festive celebration of diversity,” says the singer. “The future is yours, and today I am more hopeful than I was yesterday, and I want you to thank.”
