Sting and his wife Trudie Styler have of Brown University in Providence (Rhode Island) is an honorary title given. That writes the newspaper the Providence Journal.
Sting and Trudie were given the awards for their commitment to their own Rainforest Fund, an organization that works to conserve rainforests and stands up for the original inhabitants of those areas. Brown University is a part of one of the eight universities to receive the prestigious Ivy League in the United States.
The singer and his wife were part of the graduation ceremony at the school, Sting was also the speaker. “Today I am optimistic because I was part of this festive celebration of diversity,” said the singer. “The future is yours, and I am today more optimistic than I was yesterday, and I want you to thank.”
