3.604.335 euro has Everyone against Cancer-campaign completed. One and Come on against Cancer looks back on the action and thank everyone who contributed for their commitment and solidarity. Also a Teen looks back on a successful edition.
“Challenge cancer”, was the motto of the all against Cancer campaign this year. Both known and unknown Flemish proved to be cancer. Through the challenge on the platform to register and there is an amount on paste, they worked Flanders to donate for Everyone against cancer. There were again many incredible rosse pennies collected in the rospotten. Also, during the slotshow numerous gifts made by the belpanel of BV’s and online. That resulted in a beautiful yield of 3.604.335 euro.
The amount was announced during the slotshow on Sunday, may 27. Peter Van de Veire, Danira Boukhriss Terkessidis and Steven Van Herreweghe presented a heart-warming slotshow. They were fine, inspiring talks and announced penalty musical performances. Yet it was the broad smile of the audience, occasionally accompanied with a tear.
Gers Pardoel brought heart and soul into the song ‘We miss you’ as a tribute to his mother, he at the age of 17 to cancer lost. Also the contribution of Lieve Blancquaert hit a sensitive nerve. They took pictures and talked with people who lost a loved one to cancer. In addition, it was stood still at the death of actor Marc Van Eeghem. Marleen Merckx told that they Marc huge miss and that the action is therefore a special meaning for her.
The 16-year-old Lode was live in the slotshow surprised with a hidden camera-video. His drive to Gasthuisberg went recently just that little bit different: he drove a Porsche, got an unexpected phone call from Philippe Geubels and a kiss from Eva de Roo. As icing on the cake, he met Danira Boukhriss Terkessidis and the cast of a Sense of tumor. It was an unforgettable experience for Fans.
