WASHINGTON – The American missionary Josh Holt, by Venezuela, was released Saturday by the American president Donald Trump at the White House welcome. Holt came together with his wife back in the USA.

The American was since 2016 caught in the South American country. Holt, a mormon missionary, was in Venezuela for his wedding. He was held for violating the arms export control.
Trump called Holt , incredibly courageous” and called the captivity,a difficult situation”. The release of Holt came a day after a meeting between the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, and senator Bob Corker, the chairman of the U.s. senate committee on foreign relations.
