Kiefer Sutherland supports the English team at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS

Kiefer Sutherland is looking forward to the world cup and hopes especially on good performance from England. The son of the Canadian film star Donald Sutherland was born in London, grew up in Canada but spent his later work, especially in the United States. At the previous world cup was the football fan in commercials to see as a fan of the American team. But Team USA is missing in Russia, just like Canada by the way. So has Sutherland now the English team as a country to cheer.

“Countries such as Brazil, Germany and France are always among the favorites. But the English are already long not more. Their last world title, took them in 1966, the year that I was born in London am. Now that is a very long time ago,” said the 51-year-old actor in Welt am Sonntag.

“A world CHAMPIONSHIPS is wonderful. You do four weeks only to football to worry,” said Sutherland, known for television series Designated Survivor and 24 and films like The Lost Boys and Flatliners. Even as a child, he thought, not to american football. “I just wanted to play football.”
