Mathieu van der Poel has the Wereldbekercross of Nove Mesto can’t win. The Dutchman moved to the front of the Wereldbekertrui and went full for the win. He hung out with world champion Nino Schurter on the head when he was a tree stump improperly weighed and went over the head. Shortly afterwards threw Van der Popel the towel and he stepped out of the race. The victory eventually went to Schurter.

Van der Poel and Schurter went there already in the first round off, slightly later, Lars Foresters the connection. Halfway through the race conducted Schurter on the pressure, Van der Poel made a mistake and fell hard on his wrist.

Schurter got the victory, not a gift. Maxime Marotte and Anton Cooper came to join Schurter and Foresters and that last was the only one that the world champion could not solve. In a narrow sprint was Schurter is still just a bit faster. Jens Schuermans was on the 17th place, the best Belgian.
