DUBLIN – The opponents of abortion in Ireland their defeat recognized in the referendum on legalization of zwangerschapsbeëindiging. They did that a few hours after the counting of the votes Saturday morning was started.
From the exitpolls Friday revealed that 68 percent of the electorate that day yes had said against modification of the law and liberalisation of the rules. The official result is Saturday night expected.
Over 3 million Irish people were Friday in a referendum vote on legalization of abortion. They had to speak about liberalisation of a constitutional article that abortion is now virtually impossible.
