Jong FC Twente from next season, is no longer part of the voetbalpiramide. The team will again compete in the beloftencompetitie.
The first team of the club from Enschede were relegated this season from the Premier league. Evert Bleuming, head of scouting of FC Twente, says that the club with the measure costs wants to save money and at the same time, the quality will increase.
“We save with Jong FC Twente another way in,” says Bleuming on the website of FC Twente. “The selection of our promises is the coming season from a smaller group of talents to exist and to match the belofencompetitie the best.”
“We want a quality make. A smaller selection of players with the potential to close on our first team, of guys that we have more specific and individual training.”
Five years ago, joined the Jong FC Twente along with some other belofteploegen to the Jupiler League. In 2015, the team back to the beloftencompetitie to it a year later again to flow in the voetbalpiramide, in the then-new Second Division. There, relegated last year to the Third Division.
