Amanda Spratt has the Basque stage race Emakumeen Bira (WorldTour) won. The Australian of Mitchelton-SCOTT has performed as a soloist soloed to a win in the tough final stage, and relished the victory on her Dutch while his teammate Annemieke van Vleuten.
On the final day of the Emakumeen Bira, there had to be some heavy climbing. The Italian-Russian duo took a lead of a minute on the group, and approached to within 1’35” of the lonely leader, Spratt. But the Australian had an excellent day and finished the solo is impressive. Longo Borghini and Zabelinskaya came in 1’16” later, as a second and third over the finish line. Van Vleuten, who for the stage, a lead of 1’37” on Spratt defended, was ninth at 2’12” is the winner and will see her while his teammate with the race at the get go.
