Alexander Zverev (ATP-3) is the opponent of David Goffin (ATP-10) in the quarter-finals of the Masters 1.000 tournament in Rome (clay/4.872.105 euro). The 21-year-old German defending champions pulled out Thursday in a very exciting match with 7-5 and 7-6 (11/9) of the Brit Kyle Edmund (ATP 19).
Goffin qualified earlier for the quarter-finals after the statement of his opponent Juan Martin Del Potro (ATP 6). Our countryman came Zverev three times in the past. In Bergen in 2014 won Goffin, 2016 in Munich, Zverev and earlier this year in Perth brought Goffin the state in their mutual duels at 2-1.
In 2017 went Goffin in the eighth-finals in Rome, which makes this week a lot of points to pick up fall. In 2015 and 2016 were the quarter-finals of the terminus in the Italian capital.
