Television producer Ryan Murphy donates the money he earns with a new series of Pose to LGBT and transgenderorganisaties. The show, which next month will start in the U.S., has the largest transgendercast ever on American television.
Pose is set in New York in the 80’s and comes according to channel FX about ’life in societykringen; the rise of the luxury Trump era, the literary world and that of the underground gay scene’. Five of the main characters are transgender, they are also people who do not identify with their biological sex. The five, MJ Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, Hailie Sahar, Angelica Ross and Indya Moore were cast after a six-month search for suitable actors.
Ryan was previously responsible for series such as Glee and American Horror Story. He signed in February a contract with Netflix, that him $ 300 million (254 million euros) to pay for the next five years, programs for the streaming service.
