The rights of the film Redbad of director Roel Reiné have already been to fourteen countries sold. The historical epic, which until the end of June in the Dutch cinemas to see is, is at the Cannes film festival among others, were purchased by distributors in the United Koninkrlijk and the former Yugoslavia, made a sales agent, Incredible Movie Saturday known.
Previously the rights had been sold to the USA and various countries in the Middle East. The director, who for the past ten years, especially in Hollywood worked, turned the historical epic this fall in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark.
The film tells about the Frisian hero Radboud (Gijs Naber), which in the early middle ages with the help of the Vikings struggle waged against the christians, who their faith with a firm hand upon the low countries.
Other leading roles are played by Lisa Smit, Egbert Jan Weeber, Loes Haverkort, Derek de Lint, Martijn Fischer and Aus Greidanus sr.. Reiné returns on Sunday, may 27 once a synthesizerconcert in the Netherlands. The Dutch filmmaker is that evening one of the four performers during the Modulation Event in the concert hall Kytopia in Utrecht.
