ZANESVILLE – The 93-year-old Ben Bender has after 65 years on the golf course a hole-in-one. For Bender, it was the last round on the golf course: the man has an inflamed hip and therefore needs his rest.
Since his 28th year of life was Bender on the golf course. Also when he after his retirement moved from Florida to Zanesville he continued to play golf.
In conversation with Times Recorder tells Benders: “I was lucky that I so long have been able to play golf but I had never expected a hole-in-one to save.” For the American it was a nice ending of the game: “It was the last time that I could go and play golf, and I suspect that God has to watch.”
